About Us
Our Story
We met at the start of the pandemic in 2020 and there was an instant connection. We spent a lot of time getting to know one another and found out quickly how much our wants aligned. It is our biggest dream to provide a loving, nurturing home for a child.
We always knew we wanted a family, coming from larger ones ourselves. Adoption was always a seed planted in our hearts that deepened as time flew by. We are ready to start the adoption journey. We want to adopt because we have room in both our home and our hearts for a baby and their birth family.
When we’re not at home with our pets, we spend a lot of time traveling, listening to live music, or on the lake with Tyler’s family when weather permits.
Meet Tyler, Written by Shawn
Tyler radiates love everywhere he goes. To put it simply, he has the biggest heart, sees the best in everyone and everything, and will always go the extra mile for the people he loves.
The first thing I noticed about Tyler was how family-oriented he is. He comes from a big family and talks about the memories he made as a kid at the big events (holidays, birthdays, etc.) but also how much love was shown in the small moments. He can’t wait to make the same memories and pass traditions down to our future family. He’s a music lover, has an adventurous spirit, is funny, witty, but more important than anything – he’s the kindest person I’ve ever met.
Tyler has never put anyone in a box. He believes that everyone has a right to live up to their god-given potential and will make the best dad. It sounds cliché, but from the moment we met, I knew he was the person I wanted to build a life and family with.
Meet Shawn, Written by Tyler
Shawn is so many things, but above all, he is loving, hard-working and kind. He is selfless and constantly puts others needs above his own. He is an Email Marketing Specialist and has been in the field almost 8 years now. He grew up in Louisville, KY but moved to Washington, D.C. to get his Master’s Degree from American University.
I grew up in the a big family (the oldest of 8), constantly surrounded by kids. I have several siblings much younger than me and when Shawn met them, he immediately took them in and cared for them as his own. Watching Shawn with these kids made me realize what an amazing father I believe he one day would be.
Shawn works so hard all day, every day to provide a special life for both of us. I count myself very lucy to be loved by him and have him as my partner in life.
